Owner, Principal Consultant


Lynn is the Owner and Principal Consultant for Symmetry Consulting, which has been in operation for more than 15 years. For many years Lynn has been working collaboratively in the delivery of high quality Consulting Services as well as providing educational sessions and 1:1 coaching for all levels of staff in many of Canada’s leading organizations.

As the former Director of the Edmonton branch of Mainstream Access Corp., a national Career Transition and Organization Renewal Consulting firm, Lynn provided leadership for numerous small and large–scale Career Transition and Organization Renewal projects.

Lynn is an experienced and sensitive facilitator who has been researching, designing and delivering creative learning opportunities for people in the Corporate, Non-profit, Education and Healthcare sectors      all of her career.

As a Master Practitioner in Counseling Psychology (MPCP), Lynn has mentored and supported hundreds of individuals through a variety of life transitions such as career change, job loss, retirement, health loss and the loss of a loved one.

Having been trained as a 1:1 coach in HeartMath®, she has specialized knowledge and skills in effective stress management and health promotion.

In recognition of her work in researching, designing and implementing a unique support service for widowed people, Lynn was honoured with a Women of Distinction Award for her outstanding contribution to the Edmonton community. At that time, she also co-authored a peer counselling manual which became a prototype for Hospice Calgary.

Lynn views herself as a lifelong learner…she holds a Master of Science Degree in Counselling Psychology/Gerontology from the University of Oregon. She is a Master Practitioner in Counselling Psychology (MPCP) with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA) and the Canadian College of Professional Counsellors and Psychotherapists (CCPCP). 

Lynn is also qualified in administering and interpreting the MBTI and the Hall-Tonna Values Instrument. She is a certified consultant, facilitator and 1:1 coach for Values Technology® processes. As well, Lynn has trained with William Bridges, PhD in Managing Individual and Organizational Transition.

On a more personal note, Lynn has been residing in Canmore, AB for the past 15 years, where she enjoys tennis, hiking, golfing, biking, skiing, snowshoeing and yoga in the beauty of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Other passionate interests include architectural, interior and landscape design, visual and performing arts, photography and quasi gourmet cooking.
